the weekend..

1. The incident

we went for dinner on saturday night. everything was fine and happy. but i came home on the wrong note.

met a primary school friend's mum. (obviously we exchanged the posting results. duhh.)
what happened was...
f's mum: so how ur girl do? where she going?
my mum: okay... she's going to ngee ann poly, logistics course.
f's mum: ar? how can it be? ur girl always very good one! her results very good one what?
my mum: no la, drop already. then ur girl leh? where is she going?
f's mum: my girl go the ngee ann poly also nor..
my mum: ohh.. which course?
f's mum: engineering ar.. i think is the engineering.. girl ah (refering to me. duh.) , ur mummy expectation high is it?
my mum: no la, her results really drop..
f's mum: really meh? really meh? aiyo aiyo, how can be, girl ah, sure anot?
my mum: yah, her r5 is not even stated in her slip, only have r4 score.
f's mum: aiyoaiyo, like that ar, nevermind la girl. poly is new start nor, hor? its ok de nah, all start again nor hor..
my mum: *smiles* yes yes. poly is a new start.
(end of conver.)

i felt so embarrassed. oh my god. no face at all. come to think of it, even i find it hard to believe that i've got such results. i used to top my class from primary 1 up till primary 4, how can it be that such a "good" student can get such results? i blame myself. i've put mum in a very difficult position during that conversation with that friend's mum.
i wanna make sure that this doesn't happen again. i don't want my family to feel embarrassed because of me (and my foolish actions.)
this is also why i feel that i've become rather "naggy" towards my juniors recently. be it my cousins, my sisters, my ex-cca juniors and even my peers. i wouldn't want to see them following my footsteps. i've experienced these crap and nonsense, which i am sure that no one else would wish to go through.

to msy: please heed my advice. make those around u proud of u. show everyone that u are who u are supposed to be. please don't disappoint anyone (especially ur dad, grandpa and grandma)anymore.

to mnk: learn from erjie and u are safe. erjie is a good role model. she has absolute positive work attitude. pigs are always smarter than what others think.

to mky: how others treat you, depends on how you treat them. u can lie to me that u do your work, but at the end of the day, u will lose out in your own game. again, learn from our erjie.

to myy: i know its all very stressful. u've got lots of work, lots of revision to catch up. u've got to strive on despite the fact that u've got such a slack form teacher. if u need help, just let dajie and erjie know. daddy, mummy, dajie, erjie will always be behind you.

to myk: keep up the good work. u're doing really well dear. love you for who you are, depsite that i'm a piece of mutton to you.

2. Singapore Airshow 2008 (24th feb)

yepps. i was there! whee...

i went to the airshow with gujie, ahboy, guzhang and guzhang's younger sister.

went for ahboy's therapy lesson first. i've realised quite a bit of things, especially on how to deal with ahboy, as in how to teach him and stuff. let him learn, let him try, let him set the rules and let him learn to control situations.

it was then breakfast at changi village, then it was right to the airshow!

reached the exhibition around 11.45pm. there was a massive jam along the road into the exhibition centre. there were quite a number of taxis, but along the way, the occupied taxis got fewer and fewer. then further observation led to the realization that those people in the cabs were Eurasians. so, perhaps its not a wise idea to sit in the cab and let 20 cents flow away for every 45 seconds of waiting time. (*light bulb light bulb*)
the airshow started around 12.15pm. with the blazing hot in the sky at mid-day, we gathered to watch the airplanes performing some really crazy stunts in the sky. maybe i had high expectations, so i didn't really find the airshow too impressive. visited the exhibit areas, whee... i was so impressed by that airbus, so so impressed. left for home around 2 plus, cos ahboy was throwing tantrums already (i guess he was moody cos of the blazing weather, he isn't really used to these yet.. but its okay, he'll learn along the way :p)

along the long way out of the car park, there was a long queue of taxis. apparently, majority were all merc cabs. (now we know how rich these people are...) mostly were tourists and locals, so should understand why there were so many merc cabs -.-

went for another round of food after the airshow. nasi biryani was super spicy, but shiok. very very shiok. good food, nice food. :p

then it was a long drive home...

tired. but managed to mop the entire house. hahaha..

reflections:
thanks to daddy and mummy for allowing me to go for this airshow with gujie and guzhang.
lots to think about. many thoughts and mixed feelings.
as of today, mummy hopes to be able to tour new zealand. my aim is to be finacially capable to fulfill her wish one day. and of course, to bring daddy on his dream tour too! i hope to be able to give daddy and mummy the best of everything someday.
just like taking the airbus's business class to their dream holiday destination. <333

OPREATION FAILED.

I've not been successful in my job application. sigh.
it's alright nevertheless. after all, it my "fear" of blood that had caused my unexpected failure. eww. but i have no intention of getting a job, until daddy says so.

meanwhile, spending my days as a high-class "mummy's maid". super fun. back to marketing early in the morning, daily chores of sweeping and mopping floors with a additional top-up of once-in-a-while clothes ironing.
hoping to mahjong tonight, since my dear erjie has finished her common test. :)
also hope to get my phone repaired soon. it has been three days since that "OPREATION FAILED" text has been popping out, once i clicked on the games menu. days without mobile phone games are disasterous.

alrights, got to go. i've got to accompany mum to fetch yy.

i love my family.

making my day..

yes! i'm in ngee ann poly's logistics management for both JAE and JPSAE! hehhes..

just so glad now, at least i got into my supposedly "dream" course. well, there are a few whom i know are going into ngee ann as well.. mass comm: enna, jin hong. aerospace tech: li jie. business studies: chengyun. (and a few more of the others who apparently took longer to reply my sms)

had a GREAT day yesterday. (thanks guys, love ur man..)
watched JUNO at GV Marina. (its my first NC-16 movie.) well, the movie wasn't that good afterall. i mean it wasn't really so much of a comedy (like what was stated in the papers- 4 popcorns!) then our dear weikai (if i didn't remember wrongly) said 4 popcorns = 4 laughters only. which goes like this: HA HA HA HA (period)
then went down to east coast park. went in search for a bowling alley and nearly got tricked by a bike shop saying that "all bowling alleys at east coast all close down already. maybe your can rent a bike first and go see see?" (they must be thinking that we're young people, so we must be very blur) anw, bowling was fun. siva, weikai, eileen and me were on a team. rasyiqah, chengyun, nas and edison formed the other team. 2 rounds was all it took. nas and co. won the first round, but we won the second round. hehhes. its my first attempt at bowling, really not bad (2 strikes and a personal score of 108!-i know this score is not good, but for a dumbo like me, my $3 was really worth in man)
we went to BK after bowling. eileen and i shared a "BUDDY" MEAL. (thanks ar-dno who ate more in the end -.-)
i went home after the meal. wasted my time (and weikai's time too) waiting for 401 to arrive. in the end, we felt that it was pointless waiting, so weikai walked me thru the underpass then i walked to the bus stop. took 196 to buona vista mrt. by the time i reached home, it was 7.45pm. come to think of it, i left BK around 4.45pm and i took 3 hours solid to reach home. WOW. but the bus ride was cool, winded down the city streets and got a real cool view of the skyline. the s'pore flyer looked so extremely "enormous" thou.

this is the first time i've been part of a "nearly full day outing". it was really fun and memorable. i look forward to another outing with the same gang again. maybe next time, we should just go down to east coast straight away.. hehehes..

acceptance,
it lights up ur life.
it really did.

interviews...

i went for NP's interview on 11th feb. it was nerve-wrecking before the interview.

i went back to NH that morning to retrieve my testimonials. then it was off to principal's office to "rehearse" for the interview. it was then that i got to know liping (who was previously from NH - dan.p's classmate). she helped me quite a bit with the interview, such as letting me know more about logistics, the career prospects, the course modules and lots more... i'm so glad that i've made a new friend. whee. :)
but during the interview, it seemed fine. some of the lecturers were smiling, some smiled at some point in time, while others didn't smile at all. questions about my involvements in the club were posted. the skygarden project was to be mentioned in detail. the lecturers wanted to know how badly i wanted to get into the course. well, the best bit was that for JPSAE, i put aerospace tech as my first choice and losigtics management for my second choice. the lecturers were shocked when i told them that i would prefer to be in logistics than in aerospace. stunning. i mean, i only knew so much more about logistics after i've registered. so i'm really praying hard that i can get into logistics.

i went for yet another interview at MHC clinic on 13th feb. this time round, it was a job interview.

i reached the clinic around 3.20pm. my interview was arranged to take place at 3.30pm. so i was early for once. :) i was asked to fill in a form, to be precised a stack of forms. took around 15mins to complete that. at 3.45pm, i was called into the consultation room. the "doc-in-charge" interviewed me. questions such as "do you faint when you see blood?" and "are you afraid of the needle?" were asked. doctor had to make sure that i won't be a helper-turned-casualty in any situation. hehe :) the most-interesting thing was that doctor asked how much money i would expect to get an hour. i said $4 to $5, apparently, doctor said, "we'll take the higher range then." that's nice, hehe.. :p well, doctor said he would get back to me within a week to confirm my employment. i hope to get the job man.

interviews,
they can be so stressful,
but yet,
so enriching.

recording historical moments..

i skipped GP and MT lessons today(with the rest of the friends from my class).

i don't know why i skipped GP.
perhaps it was really because of peer pressure.

i knew why i skipped MT lessons:
they were boring and rather unproductive.
the teacher is monotonous and the lesson is very dry.
i'm not saying that it's right to skip lessons here, oh well...

after leaving school, the 9 of us went for brunch at kfc-westmall. after brunch, we headed to the restroom twice. (i know it sounds amazing.) then we had this (what-we-call-it) "illegal gathering" at the bench outside the foodcourt. we discussed about going for a movie, perhaps some time on monday. whoever that backout last minute would have to treat the entire lot to seoul garden. hehe. (08s3 rocks man.)

now i'm home, really thinking thru about what had happened eversince the end of math lesson.
i don't feel good about leaving school.

no.
i don't.
i won't ever let this happen again.
never.

before CNY...

hmmm. lao shi hasn't replied my email. Maybe she's busy, on holiday or something. I wonder how she is right now... It's nearly a week already...

updating my blog for the first time in 3 weeks (maybe I should update a week later to hit a month)...

5th feb :-

Went to school and got home around 2 plus. Unpacked and started to tidy up the house. daddy cleaned up the fans and added new year decorations (much to my delight). "Small black" and "Small white" were relocated into their new terrance (spilt the tank into two, now they've become neighbours). Much to my delight, these high-class rats are eating well, sleeping well and playing well. It's just that they are not used to not having any bars for climbing. They tried to run on their wheel, which was lying stationary on the ground. (I say hamsters are really smart.) Well, time to get new accessories for these spoilt dearies. Decided that Ocean will shower again on New Year's eve (can't assure that this old boy will keep himself clean and smell-less until New Year) and he's getting a new collar!
Sweeped and mopped the entire house like a robot. I was amazed at my own energy, being able to get on with housework almost immediately after I got home. wow.
Reunion dinner at grandma's house, all the way until 10pm. whoots. Celebrated shen shen and gu zhang's birthday. Played, ate and watch ch 55 with cousins! =p
Reached home within 5 mins and turned on the telly :) Watched ch 48 all the way until 11.15pm. woahH, LIFE MADE SIMPLE rocks man! ah wang is so funny!
Went to bed at around 1 plus, cos I waited for erjie to finish her work :)

6th feb (that's today) :-

=.= yy's caught somewhat a cold. I think I might be getting it too, cos I nearly couldn't get out of bed this morning. Didn't go to school today, cos today's lesson is 2/3 "useless". Did housework from mid morning until 2pm. I thought this was amazing too, totally no energy since I got up. The wires are so so so dirty and disgusting. The tv and cd racks are dusty too. Thanks to all the dust, I was sneezing away madly. Tried to be funny by standing on the table top to clean the mirror. (I could reach the celling, for once.) =.= Had late luch at around 2 plus. Watched tv for a while until 3. And now I'm blogging -.-
Should be ironing clothes right after this. Hope to buy a few cartons of packet drinks tonight. I'm so not ready for new year man.
I might be trying to flood the kitchen and toilet later.

Please let me be in the right state of mind.

I really can't wait for LIFE MADE SIMPLE epd. 5 tonight!
tvb is the best!
